Lean websites, measured rather than promised.

A light website loads faster, converts better and uses less energy, on the server as well as on your visitors' phones. For us, lean design is first of all a technical choice. This page publishes our measurements, with their method, rather than intentions.

What we measure, and how

We test every site we deliver with PageSpeed Insights, on mobile: performance score, page weight, time to display the main content. Each measurement is dated. We only publish sites that score at least 90/100 on mobile.

ADN Clim

93/100 on mobile, 97/100 on desktop, 1.5 MB page, main content displayed in 2.5 seconds on slow 4G.

The choices that make a website light

  • No JavaScript by default Pages are generated in advance, and only what is really needed is sent to the browser.
  • Images in the right format AVIF and WebP, in four sizes, so each screen gets the smallest one it needs.
  • Few fonts A single family, two weights, hosted with the site.
  • Hosting with no server running idle Pages are static files served by Vercel's network close to each visitor; only the site's few functions run in the Paris region.
  • No third-party script before your consent

Our commitments

We donate 1% of our fees to Tree-Nation, which funds tree planting around the world, and 1% to The Ocean Cleanup, which removes plastic from oceans and rivers.
